The Chellhof is located in the centre of the village, between the church and the "VOLG" grocery store, which offers food and necessities and an agency of the post office. The school building with a children's playground, a small football field and a simple skate track is just a two-minute walk away.
The village has about 850 inhabitants, many of whom work abroad. There are only a few farms left, but there are several small and medium-sized businesses and services, including a car garage with a petrol station. The nearest cash dispenser can be found at the railway station of our neighbouring village Marthalen.
Benken is known for its quality wines. The best known single producer is probably the Strasser winery.
Zurich-Kloten airport is about 35 km away. The journey by public transport usually takes about 50 minutes. From the bus stop "Benken ZH Dorf" it is only a few steps to the B&B Im Chellhof.
On request and if possible, a transport service to and from the airport or other destinations can be arranged for an extra charge. Between mid-March and mid-November this is also possible with one of our vintage cars.
